SCHOOL-FOCUSED PROGRAMMING:
School Focused Programming workshops are designed to educate and sanction school-aged youth to use constructive conversation skills to manage peer differences and to empower them to address instances of bullying.
- Step Through Conflict [5 hours]: a practical, interactive approach designed to teach elementary through junior high aged youth how to resolve differences with their peers in a non-violent manner. Typically facilitated during one school day at Koinonia Environmental and Retreat Center, this workshop can be facilitated on-site. Components can be presented in smaller sections to accommodate school schedules. The material presented fulfills part of the Indiana Department of Education standards for Science and Social Studies.
- Peer Mediation Training [4 hours]: upper elementary through high school aged youth learn how to manage conflicts for their peers. Students learn how to be the mediator for their classmates.
